Wake Me Up When November Ends

For the past two weeks, I've been so freaking busy with my 3rd semester final assignments that I've slacked on everything else in my life: church, exercise, sleep, food, blogging, and particularly movies (which is why I haven't been posting any reviews about movies recently).

I'm drowning in the never-ending flood of essays and reports and assignments

Life has become so dull that I feel like burying my head in the comforter to escape the stress

But what really pissed me off was this:

I missed my exclusive invitation by Nuffnang to attend the premiere screening of 2012 at Cathay Cineplex Damansara, and didn't get a chance to win those cool prizes...SHITTTT!! (check out my contest entry post here)

Looks like I'll be reading other bloggers' review of the premiere instead of writing my own version.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie trailer

Sorry guys but I'm currently on a tight financial budget and also in the midst of my third semester final assignments, so please forgive me if I haven't been posting new movie reviews and replying your comments lately...!   ;)

I've found out this trailer by Walt Disney Pictures which seems to be getting a lot of views lately. For all you gamers out there, you may have heard of the famous Prince of Persia game trilogy, and now it's appearing on the big screens on 28 May 2010 (yeah it's quite late but it's worth the wait)! This movie adaptation of Ubisoft's video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is directed by Mike Newell and the storyline was developed by Jordan Mechner, one of the original creators of the game.

If you are a fan of the game, you'll know what the story is going to be like: Dastan, an adventurous prince (Jake Gyllenhaal), teams up with a rival princess (Gemma Arterton) to prevent an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm to destroy the world. However, Prince Dastan is tricked and his kingdom is destroyed by Sands of Time, so it's up to the both of them to search for the Dagger of Time in order to turn back time and save the kingdom before it's too late.
I understand some people are upset over Jake Gyllenhaal acting as Prince Dastan (because the prince is supposed to be a Persian and Gyllenhaal isn't), but I'd still go watch this movie for the acting and special effects when it shows next year. If you wanna find out more, visit the official website here.

I think Jake Gyllenhaal looks fine as Prince Dastan! You wanna contradict me on this?

Oops??

I came across something interesting when I was blog walking today:

The one on top belongs to my fellow blogger, ♥ l у я а 。 ΥіnġΥіnġ ♥

And this one belongs to another blogger -cl0ver91- who commented on my cbox yesterday.

See, I make it a point to pay a visit back to people who comment on my blog. That's how bloggers help each other out, right? A word of advice to ♥ l у я а 。 ΥіnġΥіnġ ♥ and cl0ver: both of you may like pink, but I suggest changing your templates to make your blogs more unique...

Pre Birthday Bash

I've decided to include a more personal touch in my blog posts to make this blog more interesting (based on a fellow blogger's advice).

It was probably one of the most memorable class outings for the ladies and gentlemen in Mass Comm Degree. (3rd sem 2009). Thanks to everyone's support, our birthday girl (Catherine)'s pre-birthday celebration was a success. More than thirty classmates attended the dinner yesterday at the Delicious cafe in Bangsar Village, Kuala Lumpur. We booked two tables and rocked the whole place up with our incessant photo shoots and loud laughter (although there seemed to be an increase in customers with us around, lol)

Some shots with the glam guys and girls during the dinner

The gents and the ladies with the birthday girl (thanks to Michelle and Izzu for the photos!)

The Delicious dishes which were appreciated throughout our table (including the birthday cake lol)

Not to mention our freaking longgg bill

After the dinner, some of us left for Euphoria MOS for some clubbing as it was ladies' night and we couldn't disappoint the birthday girl (lol).

Fire burning on the dance floor

Been having too many late nights recently so I need some time off to rest. Check back soon for more updates, and thank you guys for all your support!

Green Zone movie trailer

To compensate for my lack of reviews on recent movies such as Inglorious Basterds and Jennifer's Body (been low on cash recently), here's a sneak peek of the official trailer for Green Zone, which is directed by Peter GreenGrass (the man who brought us the Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum) and starring Jason Isaacs, Amy Ryan and of course, Matt Damon! In Green Zone, Damon plays Roy Miller, a warrant officer which is on a mission to search for weapons of mass destruction. He joins forces with a CIA agent (Greg Kinnear) and a foreign correspondent (Amy Ryan) to uncover the bigger truth.

Needless to say, with GreenGrass as the director and Damon as the protagonist, Green Zone is look a lot like another Bourne movie, but with a new Iraqi war zone feel to it. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of solid action when this movie hits the big screens in March next year.
